FAQ

Pearl Power Washing has been servicing the Tri-County community since 1995. We are a company that prides itself on getting the job done right the first time, in a efficient and professional manner. Each job is done as if it is our own.

Why maintain your deck?

Rain, morning dew, and even melting snow are quickly absorbed by the unprotected wood, causing it to swell and soften. The sun’s heat causes drying, this makes the wood shrink. These cycles of wet and dry, swelling and shrinking, cause wood to warp, split and crack. Consequently, this results in a shorter life span and always requires expensive repair or replacement. This is why we recommend sealing your deck once it has been power washed. All wooden items such as fences, gazebos, and playground equipment also benefit from power washing and treatment. Additionally, there are benefits in power washing your home’s brick or siding.

How often should I have my deck washed and sealed?

Maintaining your decks is a very important thing and should be done every 2-4 years depending on the exposure it receives. Our geographical region is especially prone to humidity and rain, which results in mildew and algae growth – especially around trees.

Do you use a cleaner when washing the deck?

Yes, we use a biodegradable cleaner so that way we are not using extreme pressure to remover prior stain so the wood doesn’t get damaged.

How do you apply your product?

We hand brush the railing including the floor on all transparent sealers. We spray solid color stains.

Do I have to remove the furniture?

We will move the necessary furniture to start the job and will come back after job is completed and deck is dry to put furniture back on for you.

Do you require a down payment?

We don’t require a down payment. We won’t be satisfied until you’re satisfied.
